A leading horticulture group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Farm Manager to oversee their farms in Ethiopia.

With rapid expansion across East Africa and a strong presence in international flower markets, this role offers a chance to shape the future of high-quality carnation production.

This is more than a management role, it’s an opportunity to lead strategic operations, drive innovation, and play a key role in an ambitious growth trajectory. You’ll be hands-on across every phase of cultivation and farm leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all day-to-day farm operations
  • Collaborate with senior global leadership
  • Manage crop cultivation: planting, irrigation, pest control, harvesting, post-harvest care
  • Improve productivity, cost-efficiency, and product quality
  • Coordinate variety trials and certification efforts
  • Ensure compliance across departments and regulatory areas
  • Oversee budgeting, HR, and infrastructure maintenance

What We’re Looking For
  • 7+ years of farm management, ideally in large-scale agriculture
  • Horticulture experience strongly preferred
  • Background in African agriculture, with Ethiopia experience a plus
  • Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or relevant field
  • Leadership skills with strong cultural awareness and communication abilities
  • Fluent in English; Amharic proficiency a bonus
  • Willingness to relocate and grow with the team
