We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead and manage commercial operations within the East Africa region. The ideal candidate will drive sales, maintain strong customer relationships, and ensure seamless coordination between internal departments and external stakeholders.

This role is integral to achieving business goals and maintaining our leadership position in the poultry industry.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Customer Management
  • Drive sales of Grandparents (GPs) and Parent Stock (PS).
  • Negotiate, plan, and coordinate GP and PS volumes with customers in advance.
  • Collaborate with planning and export teams to ensure timely delivery of shipments.
  • Research, revise, negotiate, and communicate GP and PS pricing annually.
  • Develop and update GP and PS sales budgets and forecasts periodically.
  • Address delivery challenges, including delays, cancellations, and shortages.
  • Manage customer claims, including credit notes, replacements, and reconciliations.

Market and Strategy Support
  • Provide monthly reporting to the Sales Director.
  • Conduct benchmarking and market research for ownership and market share tracking.

Customer Insights and Support
  • Plan and coordinate periodic visits for key customers.
  • Support key customers with expansion and growth plans, focusing on GP distributors.
  • Drive PS sales growth through GP distribution channels.
  • Collaborate with marketing for customer-oriented events and initiatives.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in agriculture or business.

Experience Requirements:
  • Experienced in the poultry business, with a focus on commercial operations.
  • Cross-cultural experience and sensitivity to diverse customs and practices.
  • Broiler breeder commercial experience.
