Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Head of Quality Management to join our client’s team and lead their quality assurance and quality control efforts in our medicinal production environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, efficacy, and compliance of our products, while driving a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in quality management.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance Leadership:
Develop and implement quality management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Lead and mentor a team of quality professionals, providing guidance and fostering a culture of quality excellence.

Regulatory Compliance:
Stay updated on current regulations and guidelines pertaining to pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality assurance.
Ensure the company's compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including FDA, EMA, and other international standards.

Quality Control:
Oversee the development and maintenance of quality control processes, including the testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
Implement and monitor effective documentation and record-keeping systems.

Continuous Improvement:
Drive a culture of continuous improvement in quality management, utilizing tools such as Six Sigma and Lean principles.
Identify and lead process optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.

Supplier and Vendor Quality:
Collaborate with the procurement team to evaluate and manage the quality of materials and components sourced from external suppliers.
Conduct supplier audits and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.

Audits and Inspections:
Prepare for and manage regulatory inspections and audits, ensuring all documentation and processes are in compliance.
Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans as needed.

Quality Metrics and Reporting:
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality management and regularly report on the performance of the quality system to senior management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management in a pharmaceutical or medicinal production environment.
  • Quality control/Assurance experience in manufacturing diagnostic testing kits, biomedical instruments, biologicals,.
  • Well knowledgeable in cGMP, WHO/FDA/EU regulatory bodies, etc.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent project management skills, excellent communication skills.
  • Quality management certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ, CQA) are a plus.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
